f you are contemplating buying a Ranger bass boat, or any other boat for that matter - find another dealer. I have purchased 3 other Rangers and by far this was the worst experience. They claim that they water test all boats before delivery and check everything out to insure every item functions properly - this is either simply not true or they are totally incompetent. After I took delivery I found the following problems: the water pressure and speedo gauges did not work, the tilt/trim gauge was not adjusted properly, the jack plate was installed incorrectly, one of the seat pedestals was defective, the trailer dolly wheel had been damaged, the carpet was dirty, they had spilled battery acid on one of the battery hold down strap buckles, compartment plugs were missing, rubber inserts for storage cubbys were missing, the 2 cycle oil reservoir was leaking and worst of all, they had deleted trailer brakes from their order from Ranger without give me disclosure. Now I am forced to litigate more

Now I am forced to litigate to get them to pay for the brake system that is listed as standard equipment on the Ranger web site and required by law. Great place for sales, but not the best choice for having service done. We knew this would be the place we would buy from when we were boat shopping because all of the staff was friendly each time we were there browsing. All of the salesman we talked to seemed knowledgeable about all of the different boats & were never pushy. The guy who took us for a test drive was also knowledgeable & was great at showing us all the different features of the boat, he also had great pointers as well! Even though they knew were new to the boating world, they never tried taking advantage of us & actually seemed to have the best prices. They were offering many incentives at the time & had good packages to choose from for accessories as well. We didn't have the same experience when we took our boat back for the 1st routine service job though. The work took 2 weeks longer than we were originally told, there was a crack in the fiberglass near 1 of the metal tie-off bars, the battery was completely dead when more
