Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals

We rent cabins about 3 times a year. "We rented “Winners Circle" for 5 nights. This cabin was ridiculous. Upon arriving with luggage and groceries, I found a poorly stocked kitchen for cooking. The gas grill only worked on one side. We called the office and they sent the maintenance man with 3 skillets and he fixed the grill while there. The shower curtain reeked with urine so I sprayed it, the showers and the floor 3 times with Lysol. I wrapped the toilet brush in a plastic bag and stuck it under the sink. The couch was sunk in from being long over do for replacement and smelled really bad. The second thing I did was find the vacuum and vacuumed off the dog hair from both couches. I took pictures of the dead bugs on the floor when I pulled out the loveseat. Dust and cobwebs were everywhere -on every light fixture and ceiling fan. I wrote a "hi" in the dust on the shelf behind the couch. We found several roaches...dead and alive. After we found 5 live ones, we called the office again. They said they would send out the pest control. 2 hours later after not hearing anything, we called the office and they got a little snippy with my husband, and within the hour the pest control man showed up. We left because our 5 year old has asthma and we didnt want him to breathe the chemicals. We came back about 3 hours later and definetly noticed he had pulled out the frig and stove to spray. By now I am so skeptical. The shams on both beds smelled like greasy hair so I washed all 5 of them myself! The electric fireplace did not work but we didnt bother calling the office a 3rd time. We found a couple more live roaches within the next two days. I just finished unpacking now that we are home and a dead one was smashed on the bottom of our suitcase. NEVER again will I put my family through such nonsense! We drove 3 states away to realx on the mountain side and instead I was stressed about the cleanliness the whole time. We were VERY disappointed and will not EVER stay with Aunt Bugs again!!!not EVER stay with Aunt Bugs more

My family had been looking for a cabin for months that would be right for us. We found a cabin with private pool (Skinny dipping) & internet for my younger ones. It was everything we had hoped & the folks there were great. Pigeon Forge can be very busy & at times, the traffic is stressful. However, the Park, the restaurants & shopping were terrific. Aunt Bugs has nice cabins & the price was affordable for the type of lodging you get. I'd recommend this company to families looking for a vacation home more

one of the worst experiences i've ever had dealing with the management. do not book with these people. look elsewhere. you can not cancel or change reservations, and they do not notify you of policies that seem to benefit only the company. they are strictly in it for the money. very rude employees. would not recommend to my worst enemy. filed complaint with bbb. more

It's a high mark to even rate it a one-star. I went there for my honeymoon about five years ago and when we got there the room looked like a bomb had exploded. There was dirt all over the floor; dead insects all over the floor; curtains off the windows; a pile of bath linens in the floor; unmade bed; dirty dishes in the sink...a complete mess. It was late afternoon so we had no choice but to stay there so I called the office management to request it be cleaned up and I was politely (sarcasm intended) informed that no one would likely be able to clean it that afternoon. When I complained about such uncaring response I was told that I had two choices: I would stay there or simply leave and go somewhere else. I was shocked and infuriated over the unbelievable suggestion from the office. I made it very clear I wanted someone at that location to clean it up (I even offered to clean it up myself if they would give me a credit--but they refused) or I was contacting American Express to have a credit applied to my card. I was then told I had one half hour to leave or they would have police come and kick us out. And yes, police did arrive with the property manager but even the officer could see the wreck inside and told her that he could not legally remove us from the property. Didn't matter, we simply packed up and left, finding a TERRIFIC place not far from there in the mountains called Deer Ridge. Again, this place was awful and the treatment of me and my new bride was as rude as I have ever experienced in my life. Also, be warned that the views are not good here. All the cabins are in the woods and you have no line of sight for anything other than thick woods all around, so no mountain vistas or even privacy for that matter as most units are back to back almost. Stay away from this horrigble place. more
