Worst Chinese food ever. 6/6/2008

This is easily the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. The hot & sour soup was nothing more than egg drop with a spoon full of sweet & sour sauce stirred in. It tasted nothing like hot & sour soup I've had at good restaurants. The sweet & sour shrimp was all breading and no shrimp. The sauce had little or no flavor. The chicken in hot garlic sauce was neither hot nor garlic flavored. The vegetables were overcooked, or came out of a can. I could not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. In fairness, I did not try any of the Vietnamese cuisine. Perhaps it was better. Pros: The restroom was clean Cons: Terrible food more

August Moon was far from full 7/19/2007

I ate here with a group of 10 high school students and two other adults from Oregon on a recent rebuilding trip. I am not typically a fan of Chinese/Vietnamese food and this restaurant was no exception. The dishes were over-sauced with a surprising lack of variety in the vegetables (generally heavy in carrots and cabbage). Several of the drinks did not have free refills - an important factor for our parched teens. Service was a bit slow and some of our requests (refills, extra forks) went unheeded, likely because they were not understood by some of the non-English-speaking staff. Pros: easy parking, quick seating, relatively inexpensive Cons: spotty service, over-salted dishes more

The saltest food that I have ever have 7/16/2007

I debate with myself if I should write something negative here, but I decide to write some plain fact.s ... for the folks who don't like so much salt. We went there for lunch last week. The host was not friendly at all. That's fine. We came here for food. The dish was EXTREMELY salty. I mean extremely!!! We didn't have time to leave and go to another restaurant right away. So I had to ask for another glass of water to rinse the food (shrimp and veg.) first before eating it. Again, it's not a place for people who don't want salty food more

Good Value 5/1/2007

I think that this restaurant is really delicious ... particularly the Vietnamese selections. New Orleans has very little to offer in the way of Chinese food, but I think that this would leave anybody happy. I noticed that other users found it to be ""aweful""; note, however, that these users cannot spell ""awful"" correctly. Perhaps they should go to school. Pros: Good deal, reliable Cons: Dark dining area more

UNSANITARY, HORRIBLE FOOD!!!! 12/18/2006

HORRIBLE. I love chinese food, and thought I would try this place since it is apparently rated pretty well. I ordered beef and broccoli fried rice etc. First, the order was messed up. Second, the entree had clearly been reheated at least twice (horrible flavor) and third the wonton soup had a mysterious meat in it. (my mother is a chef.. I know what meat should look like). The flavor and quality was aweful. I could only take a few bites before I had to stop -I was very afraid I would get sick from bacteria. DO NOT EAT HERE.. , terrible experience. Pros: NOTHING Cons: Everything, cleanliness, food quality, service more
