Fixed my wall oven 9/22/2011

Strolled in here because I had a few minutes to kill in the area. I was looking for a new double wall oven because my was broken and a previous repairman who came out said it was not worth fixing. After looking at a few the salesman asked why I was looking. I explained. He asked the make/model. Looked it up. Said the previous repairman was a ripoff artist who just wanted his $75 fee to come out. Said they would fix mine for a fraction of new and that my oven was still relatively new (8y) whereas the repairman said it was over 15y old. I checked around a lot. Everything Associated said was right. They fixed it at a reasonable cost. Works perfectly. Thanks for looking out! This was 2y ago or so (2009). I will be back soon for a dishwasher. more

very thankful 7/17/2011

We called associated on a Saturday afternoon because our refrigerator was broken. Understandably, they were booked until Monday. However, the servica manager came to our house personally, Brendan, I believe his name is, got us up and running and saved our food. We have since gone back and bought a new washing machine. It was actually an enjoyable experiance all around from purchase to delivery - and the price was as good as any big bopx store. Jay + Jan more

Beyond Satisfied 12/15/2010

It seems everyone we know has shopped at Associated Appliance and either knows David Pia and his Family or the store manager John Joe Brennan and his family. With the exception of some minor snafus, the recommendations were very positive. And, for the times where we were told there was either a problem with a product or with their service, it seems that the people at Associated Appliance stepped right up to the plate and took care of their customers. We shopped around for our new kitchen appliances, the overall experience at Associated was beyond exceptional, head and shoulders over the other stores, especially over Sears, Best Buy and PC Richard. Wonderful people - we are happy customers for 3 generations! 12/14/2007

Our daughter was just married and is the third generation of our family to buy their first appliances from Associated Appliance. My parents purchased from Charles Rinaldi the founder, we have purchased from David Pia & his father Tom. Our daughter actually bought from David's Son - their fourth generation - I am in the service business too and understand the people who try to "get one over" on the business owner. I applaud Mr. Pia for his efforts in always doing his best to provide fair and honest service. He has followed the example of his father and grandfather and apparently taught the lessons to his sons as well! I proudly recommend these people and this company! Nancy & Bob R. more

The TRUTH to Andrew A's comment 5/4/2007

MAYBE ANDREW ALBRIGHT should tell you that he was attempting to extort $7000.00 for a mark on a floor that when he finally had to produce a written receipt from an actual floor company, was $300. plus tax!!!!! And he has the nerve to slander our 83yr old company. Please DO call the BBB and ask for a transcript. You will discover that Andrew Albright had previously had his floor ripped out and replaced. Guess how much the floor job was..... Yep $7000.00!! Then when his wife called to have the refrigerator delivered BEFORE THE FLOOR WAS TOTALLY DRY AND HARDENED (also in the transcript) the floor was marked. We would have paid the reasonable $318.00 even though it was really not our fault. The $7000.00 was an attempt at extortion and the Albright's really could have faced criminal charges as per the Stamford Police Dept. if I wanted to press charges. Maybe I should have. Very Poor Customer Service 10/31/2006

We purchased a refrigerator from Associated Appliance and they damaged our floors during delivery. We ended up having to pursue a resolution through the Better Business Bureau. Even after losing their case in arbitration, Associated Appliance (specifically David Pia) refused to resolve our issue and abide by the outcome of arbitration. Check them out at ctbbb.org. They have an unsatisfactory record with the bureau. more

Appliance Pros 8/18/2005

The Pia family has been in the appliance business for decades and they have earned the trust and respect of Stamford. Several years ago when I needed to purchase an air conditioner, almost everyone directed me to this small storefront outlet. And they were right! Their prices may not match the “big box” stores on Route 1 (they do try to keep things affordable) but the level of customer service has never been surpassed in my experience. more
