Good news: The thai food is fabulous. Bad news: You have to put up with the rude, unfriendly staff to get to the food.

Great, great sushi, tasty Thai food at a reasonable price.\r I highly recommend the Spicy tuna rock, also the Mexican roll will leave you wanting more, its combination of flavors is exquite. \r The fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth.\r If you order Thai food, you definitely have to try the padthai and the satay which are perfect for sharing. \r Asia Bay, Epicure at its best !!!!! more

It's now my new favorite spot for fresh Sushi and delicious Thai! Some of my must do's on the menu are the Tuna Rock, Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi, Fuji Roll, Manny Roll, Sea Bass with Ginger Sauce and the Red Curry is perfection!! It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. Asia bay is located in Bay Harbor and there's lot's of parking. There is seating inside and outside with hip decor. I suggest making a reservation; It's small and gets slammed on the weekends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have all types of sake and Japanese beer. My favorite drink is the Leachy Sake Martini! It's a must go and a place you can't just go once; more like once a week! more

Good variety of food with avg price of $12 per plate. A must try: the tuna rock!!! Their fish is very fresh and most dishes have a uniqueness to it. Also worthy trying is the crunchy shrimp roll and the toro jalapeno roll. more

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to have dinner near our hotel. We had driven by the restaurant a few days before and decided to give it a try.\r The place was crowded and with the cold weather it was really too cold to eat outside. When we finally got to our table (about a 15 or 20 minute wait) we looked over a great menu. We asked for recommendations and the waiter gave us some great choices. \r Everything we had was good. I would definitely go back.\r One note - The portions are large. more

Felt ripped off. Too expensive for mediocre food. To me Sushi Republic four blocks east is better. more

Food was excellent. Very small and private atmosphere. After reading other reviews about the spicy tuna rock, I must agree on how delicious it was. Fish was extremly fresh as well. I will be here again very soon more

I haven't had sushi this good in South Florida. All their fish is super fresh and the presentation is beautiful. The Spicy Tuna Rock appetizer is something that you HAVE to try! the service was very good, even the manager came over a few times to make sure everything was alright, when everything was perfect. He recommended the tuna rock as well as a Fuji Roll and both were amazing. Highly recommended! more

I started going to Asia Bay from last Sep. when a friend of mine who lives in the area took me there for dinner. The food was out of this world, and the service was very good. Their Spicy Tuna Rock is what their known for and is very delicious, my fav. appetizer is the tuna tataki, it's probably the best one i've tried, or at least in Florida. The fish is always fresh and presentation is like art. Everyone in there (including the manager, the sushi chefs, waiters and bus boy) are very friendly, always greet you with a smile and thank you for your business as your leaving. The place is small, and has a nice ambiance. But again the food is amazing and is definitely a place to try if you like sushi and/or thai food. Pros: Food, service, ambiance, FOOD! Cons: Sometimes the food can take long when it's really busy, but worth the wait! more

We dined here on November 22nd, 2008 based on the recommendation of friends who live in the area. Asia Bay did not disappoint.\r \r We started with the Spicy Tuna Rock appetizer which was excellent. The presentation was nice, and the dish was very good. For our main course, we had the Shrimp Tempura and Beauty and the Beast sushi rolls, which were both presented well and tasted great.\r \r You can tell alot about the quality of the fish in a sushi restaurant by the color of the tuna, and the tuna in the B&B roll had a beautiful deep hue.\r \r For dessert, the manager brought us the bananas tempura and ice cream on the house, after we told him that we were referred by some of his regular customers.\r \r We will return to Asia Bay in the very near future.\r \r The restaurant is somewhat small, so if you are dining on a Friday or Saturday night, it would probably be a good idea to make a reservation. more

I went there on September 9th 2008 with guests of mine. I ordered the Seafood Teriyaki dish which I honestly can say was the worst meal I have ever had. I have eaten in many restaurants in the US and Europe and have never had anything this bad. The presentation was awful - a brown blob of thick paste and the seafood was completely dried out from over heating in the microwave! I complained to the owner/manager who just nodded his head and apologized unsympathetically without resolving the issue. more

Dried out and tasteless! 9/10/2008

The Seafood Teriyaki was genuinely awful - truly the worst meal of my life. The dish arrived as an unappetizing blob of brown paste with pieces of seafood. The seafood itself was dried out to the point of being fossilized! It had obviously been overheated in the microwave. Upon complaining the owner/manager just repetitively nodded and apologized unsympathetically without resolving the issue. I have eaten in many restaurants in the US and Europe - I have had excellent meals and bad meals in that time but never something as awful as this! more

I loved it 5/13/2008

I thought the quality of the food was very good! didn't have a problem with the service, it wasn't anything out of this world, but everyone was nice and I didn't have to wait long. If you want good food (both sushi and thai), you should def. give it a try! Pros: Quality & Presentation more
