Editorial review from Citysearch 8/25/2012

The food portions are huge and the price is fair for what you get. We've always enjoyed everything we've ordered here. My parents became regulars because they enjoyed the food so much. Its nicely remodeled inside. We go here when we want Italian several steps up from the fast food Italian of an Olive Garden type restaurant. I doubt anyone would walk out of this restaurant hungry or disappointed. more

The best food and value in the burg 2/14/2010

Please let me start by saying that I've been a customer of Armstrong's for 25 years and an employee of Armstrong's for 20 years. I have never worked in a cleaner, well maintained, well managed establishment. The food is absolutely the freshest and consistently delicious, I feel this way after 25 years of eating here, (sometimes 5 days a week). The owners are by far the most considerate, respectful, and amazing hands on owner/managers and I feel privileged to work with them. They are diligent about consistency, cleanliness, courtesy, and customer satisfaction. They are extremely kind and generous to their employees and customers, and will continue to be a success regardless of the slanderous, outlandish and undeserving accusations of a bitter x-employee who couldn't live up to Armstrong's standards. Pros: Only fresh products and great food to be had! more

Great Waitress 10/17/2009

I was just there for dinner and I mistakenly gave the waitress $20.00 to much and told her to keep the change. As we were ready to leave she approached us and returned the $20.00 saying she was sure we had made a mistake. I appreciated this honesty and will remember this when I go to this restaurant. The service and food were great. Pros: service is great more

avoid weekwends and fish 1/24/2008

i go to Armstongs often...It is actually my favorite restaurant in the area. BUT , their fish is awful I just found out tonight. I always get the Caprice salad with chicken. It is big enough for 2 people and WONDERFUL. Just never order shrimp instead of fish for you meal.... I went hungry tonight. more

Great place! 6/27/2007

Aramstrong's is one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is quality and you get what you pay for. It is very much a family atmosphere. The menu selection is great. Sometimes the wait can be tough but what do you expect if you go on a weekend night right at dinner time. It is much better now that it is remodeled. Armstrongs will continue to get my patronage and my recommendation for people looking for a great, fairly inexpensive place to eat. more

When yinzers want bland food.... 12/12/2006

Purports to be Italian food, but fails miserably. On the upshot, you get a mountain of food, so the fatties will just adore this place. The ""homemade"" sauce is worse than what comes out of a jar--it's like they took some Prego and added a pound of salt. The iced tea I ordered tastes like it was made with water that was collected from a puddle in the parking lot. Pros: Nice light fixtures Cons: The food is so mediocre it hurts more

OK For lunch 10/14/2003

Average in every way. Service is fairly prompt, food is standard american style. Prices are average. Interior is clean but nothing special. The restaurant tends to be very popular for lunch, and hence very busy. Pros: not too expensive, easy parking Cons: crowded at lunch, nothing special more
