Hired Armstrong-Citywide to sand and stain the white oak natural stained hardwood floors on the main level of our home -- kitchen, living room, family room, dining room, laundry room and alcove. Dave and his crew were very professional in all aspects of their service. Their workmanship was superb. The crew was always pleasant and skilled in their jobs. Armstrong-Citywide is a company that knows how to do it right the first time. It is customer friendly and very knowledged in the flooring industry. more

Wow! We love what you have done! 10/7/2016

Armstrong installled and finished my floors when I first moved to Overland Park in 1989. Now, in a different home, we needed a reliable, professional, and responsible company to come in and refinish the wood floor in our kitchen. Joe, you provided the same level of expertise and "committed to excellence" care that was provided in 1989! Few companies are able to provide such service today! Excellent Job 8/23/2016

I had my pine floors re sanded and finished the crew was very friendly and courteous. They were very prompt in there work and cleaned up after them self's. I love my floors and will highly recommend their company to all my friends and family. Thank you Joe and Keep up the excellent work. more

Joe from Armstrong-Citywide did a beautiful job on our living room, dining room and entryway and hall. He and his team couldn't have been better to work with, and we look forward to starting our new kitchen project with them. When you find the BEST stay with them. 6/6/2015

I have used this company and Joe for at least 15 years on multiple jobs ranging from Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) to Oak and always the same terrific professionalism on every floor. The workmen know how to keep a proper work area and are courteous to both other workmen and customers. I had used other flooring companies in the past but ot since finding the best more than 15 years ago. I know Joe's cell number better than my brothers. more

Very professional, both in sales and installation. 4/8/2015

We had used Armstrong some time ago to repair and redo an older hardwood floor so decided to have them quote on a new engineered wood floor. Initially had a mix-up on an appointment time to which Armstrong reacted very quickly and worked outside of their regular schedule. The initial quote was prepared the same day and ended up being the least expensive of three quotes. The work was scheduled and installers arrived on time. The project involved 3 connecting rooms (entryway, dining room to one side and parlor to the other side) and the time from arrival to departure of the installing crew was just over 5 hours. I had done the floor prep work (and also later placed baseboard myself) so all they had to do was lay wood, but work was performed quickly. I am somewhat of a woodworker so am very critical of this type of work and I can say that they squared the rooms well and the line that ran across three of the rooms was straight. The clean-up was also very complete. Job well done and the wife is 'Happy'. more

Great matching floor color 3/14/2015

City-Wide did an excellent job and my floors look beautiful. They did an excellent job matching the color to adjacent rooms with existing floors. Fast, efficient and I never had to leave the house because of odor. more

100% satisfaction with Armstrong/Citywide 3/11/2015

We have contracted Armstrong on several hardwood flooring projects at our residential home over the past couple of years. Both a large scale project and a small job. Regardless of the size of the job Dave and his crew performed flawlessly. They showed up on time, were courteous and the quality of the work was perfect. There ability to match and blend into an existing floor was amazing. I would never consider using anyone other than Armstrong. more

The floors are beautiful! 2/27/2015

I thought the process would be so difficult, that we were not sure if we wanted to go through with it. We went ahead and booked the job and we are so glad we did! The floors are beautiful and when we needed a couple of touch ups they came right away and fixed the spots. They painted all the quarter round to cover damage, which made them look like new! It is like we have a new house again! more

New hardwood floors - sand and stain existing floors 2/26/2015

Armstrong-Citywide Inc. did a fantastic job on my floors. They mapped out exactly the timing and expectations for each day of the project. Billy did a great job first day coming in and installing the new floors. Left the place very clean. Daryl and Jason came the 2nd day and were able to match stain in the front of the house perfectly, once again leaving the place very clean. Finally, last couple days Robert and David (?) came in for polyurethane coat application - putting the final touch on excellent work. Definitely will recommend going forward. more

great job for a great price 2/26/2015

After years of having carpet layered over our hardwoods, Armstrong Citywide refinished them. We now have beautiful hardwoods at about the same price it would have cost us to install new carpet. Thanks! more

We recently had Citywide out for the 3rd time to complete hardwoods throughout our house. We have changed a few rooms at a time (from carpet to hardwood) through the years. As always, we have had wonderful results with both Roger and members of the crew. From start to finish--they aim to please! The quotes are always reasonable, scheduling is a breeze, the work is completed in a timely fashion and the floors look beautuful! What a difference the hardwoods make to our house, not to mention, increasing the value. Thanks again Roger--you know we are big fans! more

I've used Armstrong-Citywide on 2 or 3 jobs. I've used them on finishing new floors and refinishing for a historic restoration. They've also done some remodel jobs and new work for us. They've fulfilled what they told me they were going to do, and finished on the day they said they would. more

Charged too much for low quality of work. We recently hired Armstrong Citywide Inc to refinish floors in a remodel. Their work was sloppy, and unprofessional. The flooring had cracks so wide that 2 quarters could fit in it. We wanted to resolve this issue with them, but they will not fix their mistakes. We would not recommend this company to anyone. more

I recommend Armstrong-Citywide Inc. all the time. I am a contractor and have been working with Dave on multiple jobs for over twenty years. They do an amazing job and I have never had even one complaint. For me as a contractor it is extremely important to have a level of trust with the people I work with. I definitely have that with Armstrong-Citywide. They are exceptional. more
