Asked for an estimate for the repair of my electric oven that is about 5-6 years old. They informed me it would require a new electronic range control.They quoted me about $500 for the part plus the repair, and that was with their coupon they offered me. I could purchase a brand new oven for less than that. So I purchased the part myself for about $175 online and installed it in about 10 minutes. Now it took me about ten minutes to install with no prior appliance repair experience and the part was 175. Does that mean I am being charged over $300 dollars for the 10 minutes of labor? Not really reasonable. However, the guy that came out seemed knowledgeable and professional and he did give me an accurate diagnosis of the problem. Just way way overpriced for the repair in my opinion. more
