Loved the pizza! Margarita was great too. Nice big fresh salad with good dressing. Chicken wings are good but need spice or sauce for more flavor. Great service. I will definitely go back. more

Best pizza and wings I have ever had. The wait was long, but defiantly worth it. The wings with onions are delicious to start off with. The pizza was amazing I got the meatball and eggplant and it was the best I've ever had. Next time I would just get takeout and tell them to double cut the slices. more

Hate to write a bad review but this got me steamed!!!!\r We have eaten here a few times it is busy season in Delray \r so we decided to use their call ahead. We arrived on time at the agreed\r time and were told we have to wait 30 minutes. Explained to the \r greeter we called ahead - what is call ahead for if you have to wait \r 30 minutes ??-- she was callous and could care less -- asked for a supervisor \r and he could care less - I asked why do you have call ahead if you cannot handle it\r he said we can handle it???? Normally would not care as much but we had 2 \r children with us and it was getting late to eat and look for alternative restaurants, We \r left and they have lost a year round customer. more

Ordered the specialty califlower pizza for second time and specificall asked threm to ease up on the salt as part of the pie was inedibly salty the first time. The result was the same 90% of the pie had to be trashed as it inedibly salty. Otherwise great idea for a pizza, going to make home from now on. more

Their moto is "Pizza Well Done" It's burnt, hard as a rock and over priced. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 1/7/2011

Had takeout. Previous times when we dined in the pizza was burned but we forgot about it. Pizza was so burned that we had to cut out salvageable pieces. The Coal in the name is truly fitting. The bottom is black. Should have read the reviews before ordering. more

... you'll enjoy Anthony's. \r But in our opinion, it's the height of arrogance and unconcerned management to be informed when ordering that 'your pizza crust is going to be totally burnt' (and in effect inedible). \r As well, the house-special ribs (one of a handful of items on the menu outside of pizza) was also served overcooked (burnt) and hard to chew.\r There's a big flat-panel TV on every wall in the joint, we imagine to help distarct from the food and the high noise level. The place was packed on a recent weekend night... more a testament to cheap pricing... (there are no big ticket items on the menu). \r If you must... do the visit, but there are numerous other better places to dine in town. more

This place has the best pizza. It has an open kitchen and is really nice. The service was the best!!! Or server was great! more

This is nothing like NY pizza. It's closer to Degiorno's. I have no idea how 80% of the reviewers on urbanspoon like this place, it makes me lose faith in this app! the whole "coal fired" trend in delray/boca is a joke and a marketing ploy. They have no idea what they're doing. Believe me, I'm not some NY slob, I really wanted to like this place. Much better pizza at Carolina's down the street or that new place in Lantana. Or even Sazio's on Atlantic. Anthony's does not make good pizza. more

I know it's supposed to be that way, but I think they took the coal fired a bit far on my pizza. I don't mind it a little well done but come on. Too pricey for a local pizza place, although the wings were really good more
