My husband and I went to Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Ellenton to eat with friends. It was our first evening meal there and we arrived at 6pm. There was no waiting. The restaurant was filled but not overcrowded and our waiter was able to attend to our needs in a timely manner. We chose Nutty Grouper, as an entree, which came with two side dishes for $14.99 a plate. I tried the cole slaw and green beans while my husband chose the french fries and green beans. The cole slaw was good as were the french fries. The green beans were a little overcooked for my liking but still good enough to enjoy. The Nutty Grouper was superb. It is a tender white fish covered in a crunchy, crushed walnut coating. I would recommend this dish and the restaurant.
