I can't say enough good things about Dr. Martin. He caught something on my dog's bloodwork that my previous vet missed that, without treatment, would've killed him. Thank goodness I listened to my instincts and the red flags I was getting with that previous vet. Dr. Martin was highly recommended from a vet tech that doesn't even work with him, but knew him when he was a student. She takes her animals to him. I'm so glad I found this vet!\r BTW, I read the bad review on here and I have to say...they must have posted it for this vet and clinic by mistake. I can almost guarantee it. They have never said a heartworm test is not required. As a matter of fact, they mentioned they don't use Heartgard anymore because Heartgard won't guarantee the product anymore. And when I want to skip the bi-yearly heartworm test, they really tell me it's important despite my dog being on preventative year-round. This vet really does care and gives the best care around! more

I just got off the phone with the receptionist at Animal Medical Ctr and I was 100% impressed. We are bringing home our new puppy tomorrow and I had already made an apointment at another vet. When I made my original apointment I forgot to ask about the cost- this time, when they called with the reminder I remembered to ask and was blown away by the fee for puppy shots! I quickly started calling around and reached the Animal Medical Center. The receptionist who is NOT a vet informed me of all the shots my puppy would be getting and also informed me that as he is a Shetland Sheepdog they would not give him a Leptospirosis shot. This is dead on to what all Sheltie breeders have told me. Shetland Sheepdogs have adverse reactions to this shot, and in fact many of the more informed vets have stopped giving the Lepto shots because the side effects from the shot are worse then the illness. my dog and i were new clients to the area and he needed to be updated on his shots. i called around and found them to be much cheaper than anyone else so i set up an appt. well i found out why they were so much cheaper, they told me that my dog's leptospirosis vaccine was unnecessary and so was his heartworm check! they said that it was rare for a dog to contract lepto and that there is no need for the vaccine! they also told me that because my dog was on heartworm prevention he didn't require a heartworm check! i told them that i did my best to make sure i was doing it correctly every month but wanted him checked. they once again told me it was unnecessary and wouldn't do it! i was outraged and found a new vet. they did not care about proper medicine or the full protection of my dog more

I have a Chihuahua that I am getting spayed. I got the quote from my regular vet and about fell over. Usually their prices are great, but this was a shock. My dog means everything to me, but this was just WAY too much. I called around to see if I could get some other estimates. I just went through the phone book for my area and came upon this vet. They said that they could do it for much lower and as long as she was up to date on all her shots there would not be any need for a pre surgery visit. I was so impressed with their whole procedure. They knew that the only reason I was bringing my dog to them was because they were cheaper then my regular vet. They still treated my and my dog like we were regular patients. The final bill was wonderful. My dog is fixed, I am happy and I would recommend this vet to anyone!!! more
