A JAN. 2011 NIGHTMARE-MOST unprofessional customer service EVER encountered. Needed some time to talk privately & asked where we'd find coffee nearby to figure things out-gee prices have gone up since last purchase 15+ years ago. Prior to this Manager Bill Blackney w/newbie side-kick Jimmy who seemed to be real/down-to-earth said it was his first week then started a used car sales-let me get my manager game several times-Bill cut prices several times-$1,400.00+ & 12 mos free financing BUT we still needed to talk & they would not tell us where a coffee shop was (we are not from that area). Bill said he did NOT want us to leave the store & we NEEDED to buy RIGHT THEN & he went off to talk w/other shoppers - we told Jimmy we were off to find coffee & talk & thanked him-that's when things got UGLY-we did not even get to the parking lot when Bill came running out yelling at us that he would not GIVE us a mattress after all he had DONE for us & then he started swearing at us!!! We were stunned & then told Bill we'd NEVER do business w/American Mattress & we'd tell EVERY ONE how we were treated! THE MOST HORRIBLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME -TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! BEWARE!!! SORRY JIMMY THAT YOU LOST A $3,200.00 SALE BECAUSE OF YOUR UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER!!! WE HOPE YOU DO NOT LEARN HIS UNPROFESSIONAL TRAITS!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!! OBVIOUSLY SINCE THIS WAS HOW WE WERE TREATED PRIOR TO A PURCHASE FROM MANAGEMENT...WE HATE TO THINK HOW WE WOULD BE TREATED AFTER WE BOUGHT - ESPECIALLY IF THERE WOULD BE ANY PROBLEM WITH DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT WOULD REQUIRE THE USAGE OF THE 20 YEAR WARRANTY!!!! IF THERE WAS A WAY TO GIVE A RATING OF ZERO STARS WE WOULD, BUT WE HAVE TO SETTLE ON GIVING A 1-STAR RATING AND THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH!!!
