Alibi Of Troy

I went here with 2 friends, expecting a great meal. I have an allergy to MSG, and I have never been to a restaurant that can't accommodate this simple situation. I asked our waitress if the food was cooked with MSG, and she said she "had no idea." I politely asked her if she would check with the kitchen. She came back and told me that the restaurant manager told her that everything on the menu had MSG except an uncooked chicken breast. So ... I went hungry while my friends, who don't have food allergies, ate their meals. I obviously will never go to this restaurant again and I won't recommend it to others either. Too bad, it seems as if everyone else has had great experiences there. Pros: Good parking, Seated quickly, Nice environment Cons: MSG, MSG, MSG more

Alibi is still the same as it has been for years. Long waits at the door, rude waitresses, average food, etc. Will not be returning, and neither will my friends or family considering our last visit. Pros: decent pizza Cons: rude waitresses, lengthy waits, poor service more

My best friend and I lived in Troy for a number of years. She now lives in Livonia, and I now live in Farmington Hills, and we still make the commute to Troy for the Pizza and the "Chip of Heaven". The pizza here is the best. The crust is a bit sweet, and the small/thin pepperoni's curl up when cooked. If you have never tried the "Chip of Heaven" for dessert, you must. It really is exactly what the name states......a thick, warm, chocolate chip cookie pie, topped with ice cream and caramel. Delicious. If we split a small pizza and dessert, we can both leave having spent only $10 including soda with dinner! Pros: Bargain, Great Pizza, Good Desserts Cons: Wait time more

I grew up in Troy. When Alibi was a small place, we went every weekend for pizza. The best! The service is awful and has been for years. I went one evening, asked the bartender "Can I get a Guiness?" - his reply "Nope!". He proceded to wipe the counters and did not offer me another choice or anything. RUDE!. On another occasion, I saw other patrons receive drinks with their meal (it was about 11pm) & I had just arrived to meet my friends. I asked for a beer and the waitress rudely said "The bar is closed!" I wish they would read these reviews and work to fix the problem! Pros: Pizza, Atmosphere Cons: Service, Service, Service more

I live almost 2 hours north of where the Alibi is located and would happily drive the distance to enjoy one of there pizza's. This is the best pizza I have found anywhere during my years of travel. You just have to try one, you'll agree!!!! Pros: great food, good service, good value for price Cons: long wait for seating, no reservations more

Been there many times and the only problem i've ever had is that the service is a little slow when they get hit with a huge rush. Most of the time the sevice is great and the food is wonderful. Great for a romantic dinner with a girlfriend or spouse. especially if you get seated by the fire place. Pros: Great food, Atmosphere, reasonably priced Cons: Parking lot is tight more

A thin style pizza with a generous crust to hold. The tomato sauce has a slight zip and a just the right touch of sweetness. Mounds of melted mozzarella cheese. The toppings are the best. Generous amounts of toppings on every piece. The best is the pepperoni, its real not the thin factory kind that most pizzeria's use today. Nothing really gourmet here, just great pizza!! more

While growing up, I lived about 5 miles from the Alibi, and one of our favorite treats was going to the Alibi for pizza. ...Ah, the memories...pizza dripping with cheese, crust perfect. Absolutely the best! I'm all grown up now and moved away from Michigan 12 years ago, but I still miss the Alibi's pizza! more

the pizza here is wonderful!!! it has such a great taste!!! and its just the right amount of toppings. the salads are also very good, but dont for get to try the lasagna it is definitely home made...would be nice if they would put some privacy petition between the booths and the tables in the next room, you feel like youre sitting with a bunch of people you dont know, and sometimes its hard to hear the people you are sitting with. The "new" digs are not as quaint as the old white shack that sat 5 feet from Rochester road pre-1990's. It used to be about 1800 square feet, including the kitchen and bar area. Pros: Fireplace, Food, Service Cons: Crabby Hostess more
