I'm Not a Star...Ali Made Me Look Like One 6/15/2005

I have thick, wavy, damaged hair. I just moved here. No one I've met was willing to give a raving endorsement to their own stylist. What's a girl to do? I ""googled"" and ended up on this page. After reading Ali's reviews I wasn't sure if these were real customers or very supportive friends and family. I took a gamble. What a pay off!!! He gave me a color correction, ""cut just enough"", flipped my part to the other side and I now have THE PERFECT STYLE for my face. The real test came at home after I washed and styled it...and still loved it...as do all my friends and family. ALI - the way your hair should be 5/19/2005

I found Ali via Citysearch! I had waist-length, fine, bodyless hair. Not sure what I wanted, we discussed possibilities, and because I lack vision, I wasn't sure if what he had in mind was going to work (my own shortcoming + years of lengthy hair with little work). I gave myself over and it was AWESOME. HAVE FAITH IN THIS MAN. He put natural highlights and gave me a super-cute style that caused jaws to drop at work the next day. I felt like a sexy, new person! He is funny, amiable, understanding, has wonderful hours and is incredibly sexy. (Not that that has much to do with your hair outcome, but it enhances the experience.) The hair-washing part is delicious - I wish he could wash and blow dry my hair every day! I never look as good as when he makes me look good! Ali is an EXPERIENCE. Although Ali was very nice, I feel like the quality and creativeness of my cut and color was only average. After reading the other reviews here, I thought this would be the most amazing haircut ever, but I spent way too much for something my old hairstylist could have done. Oh, and I had visible roots after 4 days because Ali didn't get the color close enough to my roots. Very dissapointing! more

A FIND IN THE WEST END 5/3/2005

I have know Ali for about 4 years. I have always been complimented on Ali's shade of red on me and his blow outs are the best! It is the only time my wavy hair goes straight! My sister also goes to Ali and has thick white hair. Ali helped my sister in her appearence by choosing a wonderful natural color that greatly complimented her skin! Ali is a great guy, always helpful and understanding and always gives us tips on maintaing our ""do"". We live in the Pasadena Area and find Ali well worth the trip. Ali is amazing - that's really all I should have to write!! I started going to him a couple of years ago, with terrible hair that was always pulled back and more damage than anyone could ask for. He listened, discussed, and now, I have not only the best hair style I've ever had in my life, but my hair is healthier than it has EVER been!! I am no longer afraid to wear my hair down, and he even went through the maintaining and pampering care that I should follow. Ali is my hero!! Not to mention he's cute, funny, sweet, and has the best looking family I have ever seen! I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair (and my gossip)! THE BOMB 5/2/2005

Ali is the BOMB! Referred to him years ago, I have never been let down. I have long, curly hair that always looked the same...until Ali. He allowed me to let go & trust him & all of a sudden I loved my hair. An absolute master - I wouldn't let another pair of hands touch my locks. I haven't gotten one, single haircut from Ali without getting massive compliments & have not referrred one single person who didn't end up completely hooked. He is honest and straight forward & his prices have always been fair, making routine haircuts possible. With crazy work hours, he has always been so accomodating, not to mention how much fun he is to chill with - he helped me get through my break-up!! All in all, he makes me feel sexy & beautiful & that is most important. more

Best highlights I've ever had, very natural (not easy on a brunette). I have been going to Ali for about a year and I think he is amazing. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in coloring and cutting human hair extensions. He gives me beautiful lowlights and he cuts my hair in such a way that it always looks very natural and appealing to my face. Friends, strangers and my clients are constantly asking me who cuts and colors my hair. I have referred countless people to him and I have heard nothing but positive feedback from all of them. I love my hair! 3/7/2005

When I was introduced to Ali 7 years ago, I had never let anyone style, much less color my hair. When it started turning curly in my teenage years I had just accepted that I would have hair I wasn't in love with but it worked. I am hooked and have never let anyone else touch my hair since. He does my highlights and helps me to know what style will look good with my face and hair texture. He also helps me to understand what commitment I will have to make to keep a certain hairstyle. I love it because I leave there looking great and he has taught me how to get that result everyday in between. He is great about working with my schedule and worth the drive. Give him one chance and I guarantee you will be won over. more

Hands down, the best haircut that I've had. He was attentive and honest and the salon has a great atmosphere. I drove over 10 miles to get there and I'd do it again in a second. Ali is awesome..... I have only been going to him for less than six months he is the best new guy in LA . He treats your asits for your look and coloring . He takes his time not sloppy with color . Always has a smile and makes you feel so comfortable so by the time you leave you look great and feel so relaxed. He is a true proffessional. I can tell you how many people ask me who does your hair. Great Stylist! 2/10/2005

I'm really picky with my haircut since I have thick, Asian hair that won't obey! Before finding Ali, I tried just about every other place imagineable - chains, barbers, high end Beverly Hills salons - and nobody got it right. Regardless of how much I paid, I always felt rushed, and I left feeling like I got a hack job. Ali's totally different. Not only is he really talented, he listens and takes his time. He takes a lot of pride in his work. He also figured out a way to tame my wild hair: relaxing. Now my hair is actually manageable and style-able. No more q-tip head! :-) He's been so good with both the cut and the color that every friend I've sent to him has ended up referring their friends, too.
