Suberb food and romantic atmosphere. 11/10/2005

I love the ambiance at Alfred's Victorian. There are many different rooms throughout the house and each one is unique. It is a very romantic atmosphere so excellent for a date or special occasion. They serve you slices of cheese instead of the traditional bread like offered at most other restaurants which is both tasty and unique. The entrées are on the expensive side but very good. I highly recommend. more

We LOVE Alfred's Victorian. Conveniently located on Union Street in Middletown, Alfred's Victorian is a converted Victorian mansion turned Italian restaurant. The decor is impeccable. The menu and food is always on the mark, and the service is fantastic. The wine is well-priced and always good. Every time we travel through Harrisburg, we stop for a dinner at Alfred's. Be sure to request the Alcove table for a romantic dinner for two! more

great place to eat 8/18/2005

Alfred’s Victorian is one of the finest dining experiences around. The restaurant is an old Victorian mansion and the interior décor is beautiful. The service is wonderful, as is the food. They have Italian and American dishes, as well as soups, salads, and desserts. It is the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner. The prices are high, but for this type of food and service, that is to be expected. more

Wonderful for Specila Occassions 8/7/2005

My husband took me here for our anniversary. The restaurant is in an old Victorian home that has been remodeled. The restaurant is very elegant and the food is exceptional. This is a wonderful place to go for special occasions. For a party of two plan on spending around $100.00 with appetizer and dessert but trust me it is worth every penny. more

Historical Classic Not to Be Missed 7/31/2005

Nestled in the heart of Middletown is the beautiful victorian house converted into a restaurant. Beautifully maintained, inside and out, you will forget the year is 2005 and think it is 1900. The cuisine is gourmet, with an ever-changing menu. The dining environment is romantic and quaint. Everything my husband and I tried on the menu was amazing. Highly recommended for anniversaries, birthday and other special occasions. Call for dinner reservations. Open for lunch, as well. more

  • Alfred's Victorian Restaurant is an 1888 Victorian Brownstone Mansion. Offering intimate dining rooms, decorated with antiques, carved wood and gingerbread accents. Screens separate some tables to provide privacy, making Alfred's a popular romantic spot. The kitchen is known for its Tuscan, Italian cooking. The menu expands to include American and European selections with emphasis on fresh ingredients. An herb garden blossoms in the backyard. Full Bar Menu. Reservations suggested. Alfred's address is 38 North Union Street Middletown Pennsylvania 17057. Located on PA State route 441. (Only 10 minutes from Hershey & 15 minutes from Harrisburg) 3.3 miles south of PA State route 283. Now doing takouts for Friday & Saturday from 4-8pm. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Serving Dinner and Happy Hour.
