let me start with the positives first the location is decent and the staff very polite, i don;t normally write reviews but i felt compelled to do so after my experience lackluster doctor service, well if you are indian your are welcome and he will treat you as VIP, or if you go for surgery same he will smile at you, now if you are other type of culture he will treat you bad and unprofessional. he will see you for less than five minutes and tell the staff what to write, this ""doctor"" will walk away raising eyebrows. awful experience. more

I had a total know replacement in both of my knees. His treatment was excellent and he referred me to the the best rehabilitation. The aftercare is as good as the pre-care. He is very patient, calm, takes his time explaining, understanding with complaints. The overall office is very friendly. My advice for people who have arthritis that please go see the doctor and consider total knee replacement before it gets worse. He is a great orthopedic surgeon. more

I had double knee surgery with Dr Sinha six years ago. If you looked at me today, you'd never believe I had a problem. I kneel, I run, I can bend my legs until my heel hits my butt! Every friend I recommended him to and had gone to their ""big city doctor"" had regrets and problems. Dr Sinha believes in pain management and without pain you can achieve amazing results! If you are considering knee replacement, hobble to Dr Sinha, you'll be thrilled you did! more

I am Olivia L. Brunson and I have been a patient of Dr. Sinha since 2001. He performed two total knee replacements and one hip replacement since that time. He always explained everything in detail and discussed about other treatment options. He spends plenty of time during the consultation, very professional so as his office staff. I haven?t had any problems since the surgeries. No pain or discomfort. One day he surprised me when I found him visiting patients at my physical therapy facility. He was going around asking all of us how we were doing and if the therapy was helping us or not. In my case, the replacements worked more than 100%. Never regretted having the operations or having it done by Dr. Sinha. I could not be more satisfied and cannot say enough about him. I am very satisfied with this surgeon and his office. I am truly blessed for the referral to Dr. Sinha and every chance I get, I refer patients to him for these kind of procedures. I always share his advice with everyone that you must maintain your weight after the surgery. If there was any reward then Dr. Sinha should be the best doctor of the year. more

I am 30 and an active sports instructor. For the past year or so, I had been plagued by a sore shoulder. Upon investigation, I was told to have a problem with my Rotator Cuff. A couple of doctors I visited were quick to advise me to go under the knife, but they wouldn't take much ownership of the end results as to how it will impact my functioning and ability to continue my career. A common friend referred me to Dr. Sinha. He was really satisfied with his mother's surgery who had a total knee replacement. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical going ahead with my third consultation as I expected it to be no different than my previous 2 experiences. However, Dr. Sinha was very empathic about my dilemma of going under the knife considering that it was tough for me to be away from my job for long besides the fear of not being able to get back to it at all. After reviewing my case, he expressed confidence that arthroscopic repair would definitely be to my advantage. I must say that's the best advise I took. Following the procedure, I was back on my job in 4 weeks and the shoulder discomfort has become a thing of the past. He definitely added quite a few year to my career. Thank you Dr. Sinha..!! more

My wife suffered a rare injury which disabled her after giving birth to our son and we wanted to get a Specialist to look at her so we made an appointment. When we came in they told us it would be an hour wait. We sat down because we wanted to get the results. A few minutes later they told us our appointment was really next week but we both knew the appointment had been confirmed days before and we were told our wait was now going to be two hours. We waited. When we finally saw the doctor he looked at the x-ray and said it was fine. My wife is sitting in his room with a cane when he says this. I told him we were told from her OBGYN that they only see 4 women in a year with her condition and asked why this happens. He said, ""it just happens to some women."" I told him that was not acceptable. He is a Specialist and was just telling me how many years he studied to do what he does and I was shocked that he couldn't tell me anything was the cause. He said it was hormones. And I asked him then why did this happen to my wife and not all women that give birth. He said it just happens. I could not believe that we waited two hours (with our 3 month old baby) to hear from him that he could not be more specific. He spent most of the brief time we were with him, pretending to be interested in us while at the same time ignoring our questions. When I pressed him to give me a real answer to what was wrong with my wife he became upset and told me not to come back. He even went so far as to tell his assistant to call 911 when I would not accept his non-answers but instead questioned him. I think he is a complete quack with no real answers as to why anything happens which defeats the entire premise of being a doctor, let alone a Specialist. Hands down the worst doctor I have ever been to or heard of. He is truly a joke because he did not offer any real solution. On top of all of this he had the nerve to suggest that if my wife took a bath that would help more than anything. We left upset, disgusted and amazingly disillusioned towards medical professionals. He is not someone you want to ever see. more

I recently was Dr. Sinha's patient both at the hospital and in his clinic. I was impressed with the quality of the service Dr. Sinha and his staff offered. In addition he is a very ""no bs"" doctor who knows what he is doing. My knee was transformed because of the surgery Dr. Sinha performed and I have gone for follow ups at his office that have been very smooth. I highly recommend Dr. Sinha to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon. more

Dr. Ajoy Sinha is an amazing person who cares about all his patients. He treats you like his own family/friend. He knows exactly what he does and is good at it. I came to his office with my mother and really liked his advise then decided to bring my grandmother along also. He has become a good friend and I surely recommend him to everyone who has orthopedic related pains. more

I have been under his care since beginning of 2010. I only decided to proceed with the surgery by him because I felt very confident and comfortable with his explanations and his team members. I will refer him to all of my friend and family. He is very straight forward and strict about his treatment plans but he explains well if you ask him as a patient. I never had any problems with his explanations of questions that I have asked. more

My uncle needed a knee replacement surgery a couple of weeks back. Dr Sinha treated us very professionally and provided practical advice when we most needed it. Dr Sinha is the head of orthopedics at Mt Sinai hospital of Queens - and getting personalized care from him was worth the wait for us. His staff has been very professional too and our family is very satisfied. I recommend him highly to anyone needed orthopedic help. more

I had a terrible experience with this doctor. My father needed a cortisone injection for a torn muscle in his arm. He is no longer insured, but was still able to hold on to his own MRI's and x-rays so that he wouldn't have to pay for them with every new doctor. We made an appointment at Sinha's office, making all of this very clear. They quoted a price and kept calling to confirm the appointment. My father went in and waited about 2 hours to see the doctor. All of a sudden, the cortisone injections were ""banned"" as of last week according to this ""Doctor"". He then tried to get my dad to get NEW x-rays and MRI's, and once my father disagreed, the doctor handed him a bill for $100...literally having done NOTHING. This guy is a cheat, and I would never recommend his services. UPDATE- as of 8/24, my issue with Sinha is resolved, when I received my refund. Thanks. more

The first time I visited the office, I waited an hour and a half after my appointment time before being seen by the doctor's assistants and not the doctor himself. The second time I waited for three hours before being called to see him. My questions were not answered, I was told my fracture wasn't healed yet (although the x-rays showed it was) and then was rudely told to stop being difficult and that if I didn't like the doctor's opinion, I was free to go elsewhere. So I did. Also, the receptionists don't answer the phone half the time and will put you on hold only to hang up on you. more

He performed a total both knee replacement 10 years ago on my grandma. It has transformed her life. Where she was not bale to walk more than a block, now she has a regular life. I am so grateful to Dr. Sinha for all that he has done for me and my grandma and the family. Many thanks to his great and supportive staff as well. Pros: Highly intelligent, Lots of patience, fully explains the procedure to me and answered all questions in an understandable manner. Cons: i dont see any cons in his practice or demeaner, except for a waiting list to see him. more
