While picking up my 1 year old daughter from daycare I witnessed one of the daycare workers reach over the half door on the infant room to pick up my child by her hands with force when gravity pulled her down it looked like her arms where pulled out her socket. My daughter dangled by her arms until being handed over to another daycare worker then handed to me. My daughter is 16 pounds! There is no need for my child or any child to be picked up in this demeaner. To me it looked like the daycare worker(s) were agitated by my daughter. The director Brittany was standing right there and witnessed the way my child was pick up and did not say a word. After this incident I brought my daughter to the emergency room where they confirmed she had nursemaid elbow which means dislocation at her elbow joint. I have handled this matter appropriately through the law in this parish.
I paid them $450 when my daughter started attending daycare on the 6th of June after dropping my daughter off on the morning of the 27th I was phone called by the facility saying I owed them an additional money for the remainder of the month. Which confused me because I thought I was paid up for the month of June. They again called me at 3:50 telling me I immediately needed to come pick my child up because she took her bandaid off of her bugbite.
6 days prior they seen a bug bite on Haileys arm and brought it to my attention because My daughter was scratching at it. I picked her up from daycare as soon as the doctor opened and I could schedule an appointment. She was diagnosed with an infected bug bite that if she would not have been prescribed antibiotics and ointment it could have potentially turned into staph infection. I kept the bite covered with ointment and bandaid then wrapped with ace bandage over it to respect the daycare and others.
I have called the abuse hotline and filed a complaint because this is the second time the same girl has done something to this nature but not to this extreme. The first time she grabbed My daughter by her upper arms where my daughters hands where held to her side and picked up. I thought I had called and spoke to someone about this incident but apparently I made a mistake. I must have thought i handled being I discussed the matter with my entire family.
I'm one furious mother. I paid more for this daycare facility over others in the area thinking my child was getting treated right with exceptional care in a Christian based facility. Now I know why my child screamed and threw a fit clinging to my side and not wanting to let me go when I dropped her off at this place. My daughter has never had anxiety separation problems. I could drop her off at a strangers house and she would be just fine if I left her. I had a gut feeling something was wrong but couldn't put my finger on it.
It seems when your child is not favorited by the employees they are ruthless to get you to un enroll your child. My daughter is one of the best and well behaved 15 month olds why take it out on a child that is innocent in everyway. Parents listen to me!!! Think twice before you stick your child in this facility. Do your research and read reviews. I feel like a horrible mother for putting my child through this. I have cried and beat myself up over this matter.
