What happened? I fear they maybe going out of business? 4/21/2010

I seriously used to LOVE this place. Me and my husband went on our first date here, about 7 years ago. It was very clean, staff was excellent, the theatre had no stench, and the rest of the customers were respectable and quiet during the film. Well me and my husband recently went back to rekindle old memories. We drove all the way from KATY just to watch a movie here. The experience was HORRIBLE. They staff is RUDE, and dont want to help you, the theatres and the restrooms are dirty too. Theres a bunch of teenage thugs with their pants half off everywhere. The security guard did nothing to stop this. The floors were sticky, the games were broken. I dont know what happened to them? Pros: Good food choices, comfortable seats. Cons: Dirty, Unhelpful staff. more

Going downhill and fast 10/11/2008

My experience tonight was enough that it'll keep me from going back. Basically, the only people at the theater now are wannabe bangers and ballers. The entire movie people talked to the screen, yelled, etc. The management didn't seem to be concerned with the behaviour of the patrons. I just got a shrug in return for me expressing my concerns. Pros: it may be close to you Cons: the patronage, unconcerned management more

Fantastic place to go on a date! 12/8/2006

This theater is my husband's favorite! We go here about 95% of the time. My children like the IMAX 3D so we go there once in a blue moon (the cost is too much, but still fun).\r \r We have been going to see movies here for several years. You can get huge scoops of ice cream, pretzels, delicious coffee, funnel cakes, as well as the ""usual"" stuff! I do miss the quesodillas that they used to have :( We love the variety of games to play while waiting for our movie to start, especially the Jurassic Park game and Police Trainer.\r \r The staff is always polite to us and the managers are very good at getting rid of bothersome troublemakers!!! They usually locate and remove the problems before we even have to complain! The security provided by area police officers, deputies, and constables is a great comfort :)\r \r I highly recommend this theater, especially to adults. Other locations have too many rowdy teenagers, but this theater seems to attract a diferent caliber of folks. Pros: parking, security, food variety, games Cons: seats could be a little bigger more

Not A Good Experience 5/18/2005

This theater is horrible. Rude and unhelpful management. I agree with the review above me, managers must have written the first few reviews!! Attendants are loud, and self-centered to think they are the only ones in the theater. I will just be going to AMC from now on. Pros: Good Parking. Cons: Everything else. more

My very favorite theatre 6/11/2003

My very favorite! This theatre has the most comfortable chairs (they rock and are cushy, unlike the rigid chairs at AMC), the restrooms are always clean (they're attended at all times), round-the-clock security, ample lighted parking and excellent movie times. We have been frequenting this theatre for years and much prefer the indoor ticket counter as opposed to the outside ticket counters at AMC (get real! This is Houston!). more

I love it, except for.... 5/16/2003

the restrooms are located in the lobby. So, if you are seeing a movie at the very end of the hall, and you must go to the restroom during the movie.... you have to walk a long way there and back, so you miss more of the movie. Other than that, I love the theater. The concession stand choices are more than any theater I've been to - including funnel cakes - yum Pros: comfortable seats, many food choices, indoor ticket counter Cons: restroom location more

BEATS AMC HANDS DOWN 10/25/2002

My very favorite! This theatre has the most comfortable chairs (they rock and are cushy, unlike the rigid chairs at AMC), the restrooms are always clean (they're attended at all times), round-the-clock security, ample lighted parking and excellent movie times. We have been frequenting this theatre for years (usually twice monthly) and much prefer the indoor ticket counter as opposed to the outside ticket counters at AMC (get real! This is Houston!). Only complaint is the service is too slow at the concessions counters!!!!! Pros: COMFORTABLE CHAIRS, AMPLE LIGHTED PARKING, SECURITY Cons: CONCESSION LINES SLOW more

Not from someone who works for Lowes 10/11/2002

The others must have been posted from Lowes management, clearly they have not been to this cinema. Smells really bad, damp, very unclean and the acoustics are just horrible, either inaudible or left with bleeding eardrums. The reclining seats are OK, and the raising arm rests are OK, but they dont work when you recline, seams to defeat the purpose. Go elsewhere unless you are lost or need somewhere to sober up after leaving Sam's Boat. Pros: near by Cons: unclean sticky floors, smells damp, terrible acoustics more
