The teachers and staff were very helpful in transitioning my 2 year old son into the center. We moved from out of town and it was a big adjustment for him. Everyone was helpful, encouraging and patient and he quickly adjusted and loves his new school. more

My 4 year old son has been going to the PreK class here for about 3 months now. The transition to a new area and school was difficult at first, but the staff and teachers here made the process much easier. They have been so nice and very helpful. My son has progressed within the last few months and looks forward to going to school. more

We moved our 2 children (currently 2 yrs and 4 yrs) to ACP from another daycare and could not be more thrilled with our decision. It's very professionally run with a strong academic focus, but with a great staff of caring owners, driectors and teachers that my kids just love. They provide a healthy lunch each day with a good deal of variety-- which is awesome for busy parents!\r more

Our daughter has attended A Child's Place for the past two years and is entering Kindergarten this fall. She placed very well in the entry scores in Chesterfield County even though she only spent about a half a day at the facility. They have a nice sized gymnasium so the kids can still play when it rains and the teachers are nice. They do a wonderful graduation ceremony for the kids after Junior Kindergarten and have a very active summer camp thereafter. more

My son is currently 10 and in the 4th grade and has been attending A Child's Place since he was 5. He attended the Pre-K program there which was a great start to prepare him for elementary school. Now that summer is just around the corner they are preparing for their summer camp which will be Blake's 6th summer there. They do so many activities and field trips in the summer camp that the kids all love it!! They go swimming at least once if not twice a week. Michael is the proclaimed “King of summer camp” and he really enjoys playing with the kids so much and they all love him. I had the chance to attend one of the trips to Pocahontas State Park and saw first hand how all the kids flocked to him in the pool and just were having a great time. A Child's Place has been the best place for my child to be “raised” in. We love them all there!! more

My husband and I have been beyond pleased with our experience at A Child's Place. Our son is 3.5 years old and has been attending ACP since he was 3 months old.We looked into many other daycare centers when making a choice and none could compare. All of the staff from the owners to the teachers know our son and take a personal interest in his development and growth. We consider the teachers there a part of our family and are so impressed with the care our son has received. He spent the first 14 months of his life on a nebulizer due to asthma issues and often had to had treatments while at daycare, sometimes 3 times a day. The staff there was always willing to accomodate this and we were comforted to know our son was in such good hands. They also accomodated his food allergies and have always been in close contact with us regarding any issues. Health and safety of our son is a top priority and we havenever had to question it at ACP. As a teacher myself, I can highly recommend the academic curriculum that is provided by ACP. Our son is constantly immersed in hands-on, age appropriate learning activities. We know that he will be very prepared and ready when it is time to start kindergarten. We cannot say enough about the quality of care provided by ACP-top rate. more

Great Place! 4/28/2010

My son enrolled as an infant when he was only 8 weeks old. As you can imagine I was very worried about leaving him with anyone. Miss Robin and Miss Michelle do a spectacular job in caring for each infant as their own. They were more than accommodating to me as a new overprotected parent. Unfortunately my husband lost his job so we had to pull him out for almost 13 months. Management was awesome working with us to get our son back in. He is now in the two-year old room and enjoys many daily learning activities and gets to go into their HUGE gym! Our family is so happy at A Child's Place! Pros: Good Staff, Clean, Awesome facility more

AWESOME PLACE 11/10/2009

We came to A Child's Place about a year ago after a bad experience at another center, and haven't been happier! The teachers truly love my son. They are always doing fun, learning activities that the kids seem to enjoy. The gym is nice, especially on rainy days becuase they are still able to get all their energy out! Management is very informative and helpful! I recommend this place to everyone! Pros: Loving, friendly learning environment! CLEAN!! more

We LOVE A Child's Place 8/25/2009

My son and daughter both go to A Child's Place now and they love it. They started about two years ago when we moved to the area. My daughter is in the pre-school and loves Miss Jennie. My son is in the summer camp program and will be in the after school program when school starts. He has a a blast going on many field trips this summer and Miss Tina who is incharge of summer camp has been there since he started. The managers always greet my husband and I will a smile everyday. They have also be very helpful with any concern that I have had. I highly recommend this school. Pros: Great Place more

A FANTASTIC CHILD'S PLACE 4/10/2009

I was stunned to read such criticism of this facility. The director is experienced, caring and maintains high standards. There has been some turnover of staff over the past year but that's not too unusual in the childcare business. Our child heads off to school with a happy face every day and is smiling when we pick her up. She enjoys a wide variety of daily activities, although we chose not to pay for the optional computer and gymnastics classes. There is NO WAY you could say that there are ""hidden fees"" -- assuming that you read the brochures and see what the costs are! Our entire family loves ACP and would recommend it to all of our friends -- which we do, by the way. Pros: Friendly, caring staff; wide variety of activities more

a craps place 2/21/2009

At first..the director is really nice. Then very rude.. My child was yelled at for no reason when I walked outside. The staff does not seem very happy to be working there. One told me she was very unhappy and the pay she had recieved was not enough for the things she had to do. Every time I had walked in there Mr.Micheal was on his cell phone *( texting) as they say, very rude and unprofessional. Mrs. Denise acting like she cared, but was so fake. I am disgraced. Oh in the morning, the snack they say they provide is a joke, my daughter told me it was graham crackers everyday. but according to the calander that was on the board, it was suppose to other different kinds of snacks. Children would get sick of that. This place is horribel and I WOULD never recommend it. DisGRACE! more

Never send your child there! 12/15/2008

The bad daycare I am reporting is the new one located in 11155 Ridgefield Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23238. Pros: it is new Cons: Bad director, very few toys more

No Quality Childcare here! 9/21/2007

I had a horrible experience with A Child's Place and I would definitley not recommend this place to anyone. They have new teachers in the classroom everyday which does not give stability to the children. I witnessed one teacher yelling at a 3 year old like it was military boot camp. My daughter cried all day every day and was certainly not acting herself while attending this center. The management seem very nice when you tour the facility but are very rude when you try to address any concerns. I was shocked at the things my daughter was telling me and the director basically called my 3 year old a liar. My children have since started a new daycare and they LOVE it. My daughter goes without any hesitation and is her happy self again. Something was just not right with A Child's Place!! more
