Would not go again 10/11/2008

Went here Saturday . Lets just say it was a waste of time, money, and gas. We walked around asking for someone to scare us! I think the actors decided to take the night off because when we got outside they were sitting in the "break area" smoking cigarettes. Getting through the maze was fun but definitely not scary! Pros: maze in the dark, scenary was nice Cons: $15, not scary, no actors, location more

IT SUCKED REAL BAD!!! 9/28/2008

We went in the middle of Sept 08 and this haunted house really sucked! There were hardly no actors and the ones they did have broke character and tried flirting.....it was miserably horrible The paths are full of trees and mud and not well lit. I have went to this one about 5 times and all 5 times I was ver disappointed. When they had it in the actual woods it was awesome, now it is a total rip off...DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Pros: Non pros here Cons: EVERYTHING more

Death Valley Is 10 Times Better Than Any Other Haunted House 7/3/2008

Seems to me like a lot of these reviews are about the price, but everywhere else is MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE and you don't get the same experience. I went to Slaughterhouse and it was probably only about 20 or 30 minutes long and the service was TERRIBLE! Go to Death valley it's well worth it, trust me! Pros: Service, Security Guards are very helpful, Scary but very fun! more

Total Disappointment 10/30/2007

The current Haunted Woods is an absolute disappointment. I went to the old Haunted Woods many years ago and it was a blast. It used to be in an actual wooded area but now it is located on the back side of an auto repair center. The only thing scarey is the fear that you might step on a heroin needle or you might choke on chainsaw fumes. The few actors we did see were dressed similarly, in white t-shirts, like zombies from Shawn of the Dead. There were no places for people to jump out and scare you. It was a total disappointment. It is also $15 for admission instead of the $10, as listed. If you want to get new rims on your car, it might be worth going through the Haunted Woods while you wait, otherwise, don't waste your time. Pros: You can get new spinners while you go through the haunted house. Cons: Not scarey. No actors. Not worth the long drive. more

What happened to the Haunted Woods? 10/30/2007

The haunted woods of 2007 was the worst I have EVER been to. I haven't been to the Haunted Woods in over 4-5 years and back then it was incredible. They changed the location completely from way out in the sticks to along Main Street. Come on! There are only like 5 actors walking around the whole time and none are scarey and some where the same mask... This has been the biggest disappointment in a long time for me. Not only did it cost 15 dollars, there wasn't one moment when I was scared the slightest bit. I don't mind paying the money if it is worth it. Bottom line is the Haunted Woods USED to be the best 5-10 years ago, but now it has fallen off the deep in. I will never go again unless they go back to the old place, get more actors (quit pocketing our $15 and put it toward better costumes, props, and more people), and go back to the way it used to be, which is being WAY too scarey. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Don't waste your money. Pros: parking is okay Cons: $15 to not be scared, like 5 actors through the whole haunted house more

2007 season not all it's cracked up to be 10/21/2007

I'm new to the Nashville area and everyone assured me that the haunted woods in Hendersonville was THE place to go. We went last night and were HIGHLY disappointed. I would recommend that no one wastes $15 on this not scary in the least bit place. We thought that since we went on a Sunday that maybe that was the reason it sucked so bad. My husband talked to someone who worked there and she said that over the years, people complained about getting TOO scared, so they had to tone it down. They pretty much made it for kids who scare easily. There were SO many places where they could have scared you, but more than half the time, you're wandering around in the dark trying to figure out where to go. Maybe it really was the greatest in the past, but the 2007 season is a complete waste. Don't think I'll ever be going back there.... Pros: free parking Cons: paying $15 and not getting scared more

A lost adventure 10/1/2007

This place has fallen by the wayside. Understaffed, uninspired. Just not fun. I am amazed at how far this long time great has fallen. Pros: Unique facility, lots to see, free parking Cons: Uneven terrain-sneakers recommended, may be too long for people with mobility problems more

A haunted house thats not scary!! 9/22/2007

First off, the website and flyers they pass out say $10. When you get there, they charge $15. Totally not worth it. There was nothing scary about this place. Might have been a good place to take small children so they WON"T get scared. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Just a bunch of people, most of them not dressed up, jumping out from behind stuff and screaming. I highly recommend you find another haunted house to attend instead of this one. more

Death Valley 10/14/2006

I've been the last 5 years in a row and it only keeps getting better. Highly recommended. We went to all the other haunted houses in Nashville, and they don't hold a candle. If your going to do it, do it right. Death Valley Haunted Woods was the shiznit! Pros: good actors Cons: no dizzy tunnel more

Loved it! 10/24/2005

I have been 2 years in a row and went again last night. There were not many people there at all, but there were so many workers it was still a blast. I cannot put into words how much I recommend this place as it is scary (my bf was terrified to go in front of me) and just really fun. There were 2 mazes this year compared to 1 last year, and much of the trail is in darkness, which is so fun. I will be back EVERY year. Please go to this to support it as it is amazing. Best one I've ever been to. Pros: in the dark, hard mazes, long trail more

I have never been so scared! 10/13/2005

The other weekend my roommate and I decided we were in the mood to get scared. Boy did we make a GOOD decision by going to the Haunted Woods. If you are in the mood to walk around and feel no fright at all, then I do not recomend this place. But if you are in the mood to get close to a stranger, and want to run for your life...this is the place. It was well worth the $10, and I would go back in a heart beat. Pros: good actors, easy to find, SCARY Cons: hot, parking more
