Since this walmart opened I have been a customer at least 5 years. I require use of a handicap cart. When this store first opened they where in the front of the store, you'd walk in and be able to get a cart and shop. Within a year they had moved their carts into the middle of the store in the customer service area. They as off November 20, 2005 claim to have 15 carts. None of which no matter what time you wish to shop, are charged, and they just don't seem to care. The employee care even less!!! The have no plan in sight to fix this problem. They are a 24 hour super center and cannot figure out how to fix this problem. I have heard every excuse in the book. From they cost 15k each to we just have to many customers. Number one, when a customer comes through line to pay, that cashier should call for a carry out, which should happen anyway to assist the handicapped person. Then the person who goes out with the customer brings back in the cart and plugs it in. It's just that simple!!! The handicapped community of homestead would be better off to go to BJ'S Warehouse, where the have a system in place for these carts, and the employee's care, because this walmart does not!!!
