Review content:
I first went to Kannie and she just did a cut only. It was okay but didn't really help me understand how to style the new cut on my own and it seemed really frizzy. After getting home to try it myself, I couldn't get to look ANYTHING like she had it and ended up putting it up more than leaving it down. BUT, she was really nice and the $$ was good.
SO, I went back on a Saturday and made an appointment with Ezzequial (not sure how to spell his name) and wanted to do an all over color (which I'd done MANY times before with a different salon) to go darker for fall as well as a trim/cut. When I got there, I told him that I couldn't style my hair and needed something new as well as the color I wanted. He suggested doing a FEW hi-lights as well as the all over color so that it wasn't so dramatic. Hesitantly, I said "sure...". He got started and no joke, it took him about 2 hours to do the hi-lights and all over color. By the time he finished getting it in, I was so done sitting in the chair and waiting when all I wanted was an all over color. As time went by, his other appointments started coming in which he had to tend to as well as finish my hair. He FINALLY took me into the sink to rinse out the color and put something ELSE in my hair he called "toner". I believe this is to "tone down" or "blend" the colors so they arn't so different (skunk like). After washing out the color and what I thought was the toner, he left me sitting awkwardly with my head weat in the sink to tend to his other client. After about 5 minutes (seemed like 10 or 20) he came back to finish washing. THEN he started on the hair cut. Granted, I do LOVE the new cut and what he did with it, I asked him at the beginning to show me how to style it with a straightener since thats how I would be doing it. He of course, started blowing it out which I cannot do. After straightening each and every strand of hair (or what seemed like) he finally said DONE! Thank GOODNESS! 2 and 1/2 hours later. $300.00. No joke. I about cried. Don't GO!
