Businiess name:  The Statler Hotel
Review by:  Sue N.
Review content:
Ithaca is located in the Fingerlakes region of New York. The region is known for its spectacular gorges and waterfalls. Ithaca is also home to a huge student population with two large colleges in the area: Cornell University and Ithaca College. The Statler Hotel is located on the Cornell campus. Its convenient location allows for families of students visiting the campus to save themselves a long trip to the school. The hotel itself is not too big but a decent size. Cornell is also known for its amazing dining halls with award winning gourmet food. Being on campus allows you to experiment with each different dining facilites. Within the hotel, there are several options for food, like the Terrace. However, be aware that if you are staying at the hotel during the school year, you will have to fight some of the students to get to the food lines. It is a booming campus with a whirlwind of activities daily. If you want, you are a hop, skip and jump away from Collegetown. While you are on campus, you should definitely explore its beautiful gorges as well as architecture. They also have a Johnson Museum of Art if you want to explore your creative side. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Ithaca for the first time. Warning: I would be careful about trying to book a room during Graduation weekend. I can guarantee you will not get one. Parents book graduation weekend rooms almost 4 years in advance when their child first get their big envelope of acceptance. Kind of ridiculous but that is the competitive nature of the school ;)
