Businiess name:  Higashi Japanese Restaurant
Review by:  Joseph K.
Review content:
Higashi Japanese has, and will continue to be my family's favorite restaurant in the greater Hartford Area. It is almost difficult to think of where to begin when describing the warm atmosphere, friendly service, and food that will leave a gloriously peaceful sensation on your palete for hours. One's first impression of Higashi is one of authenticity - there is no modernized feel about this place - it is truly like visiting Japan for a few hours. This place even has an authentic Japanese table and setting for a little extra $. There is food here that seasoned cuisine adventurers as well as picky eaters can enjoy, ranging from tempura and teriyaki that seems to melt in your mouth, to raw eel and sea urchin that would be a sushi lover's delight. The only thing that could be considered less than desirable here, it is the relative inattentiveness to the softdrinks, which are pricey, but often flat. However, there is a large selection of great imported beers and saki. Truly the best Japanese in the Greater Hartford Area.
