Review content:
I came here with my man tonight on a whim as an early Valentines Dinner and we honestly expected a very average, touristy crab experience here. Parking was easy, and free, which was pleasantly surprising. We were greeted by a very unfriendly and ungracious hostess. We were sat right by a server station and asked to be resat somewhere a little more cozy, and although the restaurant was nearly empty, we had to wait for the hostess to figure out what to do. We were resat, and our server was very friendly. We ordered a bottle of reisling, and when the server came back and twisted the cap off, we looked at each other very nervously...we've never been served a bottle of wine with a twist off cap. The reisling was far below our expectations, but got us buzzed nevertheless. That was probably the low point of the evening. We ordered cast iron roasted mussels with garlic butter, which was just incredible, and a very interesting arugula salad with a unique wasabi kick. Then, out came our 3+ pounds of dungeness crab legs...and this was the best part of our dinner. What a treat: tender, tasty crab at a very reasonable price. Every bite was heaven! Our server checked back on us often to see how we were doing. We were thanked sincerely when we left. The bill for two was $106 before tip (one bottle of wine, a large salad, a mussels appetizer, and 3+ pounds of crab). We will be back! Pros: Easy parking, great value, great crab. Cons: Below average wine selection, mediocre ambience.
