This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a service industry. I had to special order a part for my car and they bait and switched me on the quoted price. I ordered it at $36 and when I came it to pick it up they gouged me for $49. It gets worse... I forgot to bring in my 'core' when I picked up the part but I brought it in after I did my repair. I returned the core in a plastic grocery bag. The "clerk" flat refused to give me my $35 core charge because I didn't bring it back in the original box. They didn't tell me I had to save the box, there are no signs in the store, just no way for a shadetree mechanic like me to know this apparently hard and fast rule. After exchanging some rather unsavory banter with the 'jerk' I finally told him he'd better call the cops 'cause I'm "not leaving without my money". He begrugingly grabbed some cash out of the til, shoved it at me and told me to "never return to the store again". I told him there was little chance of that happening. Do NOT patronize these people unless you like getting treated like the scum they are and you enjoy paying more for the part than you were quoted. Terrible, Awful, Horrible, Insane, Rude, Indignant....and so on. Just say NO to NAPA!!
