Ever see those old fashioned looking silhoutte portraits and thought how can I get one of those? Well, the DC area has one of only 75 silhoutte artists in the entire U.S.A. Anne Leslie is one of only 75 silhouette artists in the United States. She was recently selected as one of 200 Traditional American Craftsmen by Early American Homes magazine for 2001. She does several shows a year (mostly at craft festivals), has studio sessions, can do a portrait from a photograph by mail, and also schedules daycare appointments. She is willing to travel all over the DC metro area (even doing some stuff as far as PA) When you have her come to your daycare, she will donate 15% of her profits to the center so not only do you get a great and unique product it's also a great fundraiser. Extremely reasonably priced, in my opinion.
