My husband and I stopped by this cute cafe for Sunday brunch on a weekend visit to Raleigh. It was recommended on here and by some chowhounds on the message boards. I have to say it was a great choice. I had the filet mignon eggs benedict. While adding filet to a benedict may not be the best idea, jsut because it gets lost in the sauce, the meal was scrumptious. Filet was a thin slice, very tender, and more importantly the hollandaise was perfect, one of the best I've had. Roasted herbed home fries were delicious and not greasy, and needed no ketchup to flavor them. Included in your brunch price are a small glass of fresh squeezed OJ, and water, as well as a basket of a variety of sweet breads (carrot cakey loaf, a blueberry muffin and a chive biscuit, in our case). The cafe also had a guitar player strumming for the crowd some gentle music which was very relaxing. We liked the vibe of the place, with cozy wood tables (we scored a small booth) and comfortable seating. Service was attentive and friendly.
