While in Silver Spring MD this past weekend we stopped for lunch at a place I have never really been a fan of. It happened to be the only place that had things on the menu that my parents and I could all find something to eat.
My mother ordered just the salad bar after we walked past it to out booth and she saw that everything looked fresh. My dad on the other hand wanted a bit of everything so he ordered the combination Ruby Minis & Fresh Garden Bar. I did not want salad so I just ordered the Portobello Swiss Turkey Burger and fries.
The food was better then I ever remember at one of these chain places so I was happy yet surprised when I took that first bite of my burger and it was fresh and did not taste like turkey, more like real beef. My dad was not talking while he was eating so I know he enjoyed his meal. We joke that if my dad is talking during a meal that we are not going back to that place to eat.
The waitress seems as if she was in a bad mood but tried to be pleasant toward us. She was not unkind just seemed as if she cloud not care about being there. It was a bit noisy even for an off hour but it prepared us for what was to come in the new few hours when my nephews arrived.
