Businiess name:  Just For Kids

Review content:
Just For Kids used to be a great place to shop. After all, why spend hundreds on baby clothes and gear that they'll outgrow in months (if not weeks)? JFK sells used clothing for kids of all ages, as well as maternity clothes. They also sell used baby gear, such as strollers, high chairs, car seats, cribs, and toys, and they buy clothing and equipment, too. I used to love to shop here; in fact, it wasn't unusual for me to spend an hour or so a couple days a week when my son was tiny. However, although I've been assured they haven't changed owners, there has definitely been a change of management style if not management. While they used to buy back clothes generously, they are now extremely choosy about what they'll buy. It is no longer good enough for the clothing to just be cute and in very good condition. Because of this, I now have a hard time finding clothes for my son. Their racks, which were once filled to bursting, are half empty. It's no longer an enjoyable and beneficial shopping expedition, and it is certainly not worth my time to wash and bag up six or seven sacks of clothes just to bring five and a half of them back home again! In addition, the old staff was cheerful and friendly (the "main" employee back then, whether a manager or an employee, knew my son by name and always had a big smile for us when we came in); now they've all disappeared, and the new staff is not helpful or friendly--the one I suspect is the owner is not at all pleasant in her manner, in fact. I've stopped going to this particular store except once or twice a year--just to check if there's been another change in management. So far, no such luck. I'd say, if it's convenient, give it a look-see but don't get your hopes up; if it's not, don't bother--there are other used and consignment kids' clothing stores around!
