This tour featured a fantastic itinerary and covered a lot in eight days. The hotels were also the best. The tour did start off very early and would get to the hotel very late but this allowed you to see a lot of sights. However this also included going to Chinatown in each area for most of the meals. If you do not eat Chinese food there are alternatives but you will have to find them yourself. The Tour guide was not very helpful for anything outside the tour's itinerary. Most of the tour was in Chinese, although there were short comments in English. The batrhroom was kept locked, so each stop usually required a long bathroom break first. The bus did stop at rest areas on the longer portions of the trip. Be prepared to walk about 4-5 miles each day when stopped. The tour guide would say to follow me and then be out of sight before the back of the bus was able to get off. The tour guide also would say one thing and then do another. The bus driver did not always take out the luggage or load it. Take plenty of cash or the tour guide will tell you to get money out of the atm. You have to pay for the tickets to the attractions ($195.00) and also the suggested tip is expected even though there is not a lot of extra service provided to earn a tip. The tour guide actually asks for the tip several times on the trip and tells you that you owe it to him. He also kept saying eight days when he was only with us for seven. This would have been a better trip if there had been some instrutions provided in English. I would have even been happy with written descriptions of the stops and a few maps to places to eat other than the Chinese places that we stopped. I did not like being told that I would have to ask for directions myself. Seems like this would be a service they would be glad to provide for the people on the bus who don't speak chinese. The trip itself was very good and wth these few extra services could have been even better.
