Review content:
Rock Creek Outfitters is a good place to shop for the outdoor that you're looking for. It's sort of Chattanooga's answer to REI, albeit on a much smaller scale. They carry all sorts of things from dehydrated food to take camping to hiking shoes, outdoor apparel to sleeping bags and everything in between. They cater to rock climbers, hikers, canoers and just about anyone else that wants to be outside.
The other nice thing about Rock Creek is that they rent supplies like backpacks as well, so you can try stuff out before you invest a lot of money into something.
The sales staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and will help you find what you need and get you all set up. The store is attractive and has convenient parking right outside.
