Have you ever been to a concert at West Point? Highly recommend it. In the summer, there are many band and jazz performances which are held in the Trophy Point Amphitheater at the Academy or in several locations throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The band's current schedule is listed on their website and usually appears in the weekend events section of the Times Herald Record. You'll want to check the 24 hour hotline (845) 938-2617 before any event for any changes in schedule, updates or cancellations due to inclement weather The U. S. Military Marching Band is comprised of selected musicians who've played at Army football games, parades, solemn funerals, the Rose Bowl and other occasions. The 48-member wind Concert Band is one of the Academy's most popular groups and is usually featured at its Annual July 4th celebration. What's great about this? The events are usually FREE and are open to the public. If you're visiting West Point, leave extra time for a security check at the main gate.
