very seattle. a converted gas station, i *think* this place has been around for a long time. it's not a trendy downtown chic sort of place, it's a 'sit and relax and enjoy really good food' sort of place. the bread is homemade daily and was possibly the best bread i've ever had. service was fine, parking is easy on roosevelt, and the food was SO good! chicken piccata was delish, and the chicken was so tender that i easily cut it with my fork. well-prepared asparagus came with the meal, as did mashed taters. huge portions, so beware.
hubby had excellent tofu tacos and a nice glass of wine. all that plus a mini salad for me came to $39.
we'll be back.
