My family and I have been using Prompt care for at least a decade now and our experience has been ok as far as the doctors and nurses are concerned but aweful when it came to the front of the clinic and the receptionist. In addition to having to wait for a long time to see a doctor (or nurse practitioner), about 95% of the time we had to endure the receptionist's very rude and disrespectfull treatment. Most of the time, we tried to take the high road by laughing it off and crediting her behavior to her lack of manners/education etc but as for any human being, there is a limit to how much one can keep taking before he/she has enough. The sad thing is that we were spending our hard earned money there over the years to help pay her salary yet, the best she could do is make faces, grimace, and roll her eyes when she thinks one is not looking. After so many years of abuse, my family and I will no longer pay to be treated poorly. I will not refer anyone or reccommend Prompt Care anymore as I have done in the past. There are plenty of decent clinics in Charlottesville, VA.
