Review content:
Going to the Depot Museum in Avon Park is a lot of fun. Housed in the old train station, it is loaded with the history of Avon Park. There are hundreds of photos and post cards showing the town as it used to be and its progression. There are dozens of bottles and other memorabilia from the Coca-Cola plant which was once open in Avon Park. There are video tapes which can be viewed that show town founders talking about life in Avon Park and what it was like. There are train displays which tie in with the depot building. There are also some displays of items which are not specific to Avon Park but which relate to the era during which the city was founded. The volunteers are always nice and try to be helpful, too.
