Had an appointment here for a spa package. The service and experience was so-so - not very impressive as the reviews indicate. I've been to many spas around the world and wouldn't rank this place as one of the best at all. The staff at the front desk seemed unprepared in spite of their reminder a day before to be there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The place was not as relaxing as the pictures imply...the entire place could use some renovation...place looks old...I understand that it's in the "historic" part of town..but still!
Furthermore, the plug-in portable water fountain kept on whirring the entire time I was getting a massage it was so distracting and not very relaxing. The same thing happened in the other room where I had a facial.
