It seems like everyone tries to get on the "health food" band wagon but there are few stores that genuinely practice what they preach. Edson Farms has been a mainstay in Traverse City for decades. They have a huge selection of vitamins, supplements as well as grocery and deli items. One thing I appreciate about their store is that their staff is very well-educated. They do not just make half-baked recommendations. They know their stuff and when they recommend a product you can be assured that they have done their homework. They also have great reference materials like books and brochures. It's a great place to get educated about taking care of yourself.
