Review content:
Warning please do not use Downtown hardwood for residential stairs. Everything started out great, price quoted was fair and below what I estimated. However what should have been a 4 day job has turned into months of my stairs still not finished. The job is about 70% done, spindles have drip marks, rails and treads are still rough and need 2 more coats of poly. There is stair stain on my hardwood floor and walls not to mention white paint drip marks on my walls. I have been promised the job will be done many times when I am able to actually get a hold of them. They do not respond to calls, texts or emails. They are not on time and do not show up when they say they will. Then complain that they should have charged more and actually asked for more money upfront even though the contract states half upfront and the. remainder when job is done. Needless to say my stairs are not complete and the contractor walked away from the job. They deserve 0 stairs but I had to list one to get this review posted.
