I took my car in because the check engine light was on and asked the service men to take a look at it. \r
The guys told me to have a seat and they'd check it out. After less than two minutes, they called me out to the car (still in the parking lot), and told me that the gas cap was loose, and undoubtedly, this was the reason that the light was on. They cleared the light, and when I went in to pay, they told me it would be $40. This, they said, was a savings, because they didn't charge me for a full diagnostic check, which would have been $80.00. BUT, THEY didn't do a diagnostic check. When I asked about it, they said that the equipment is really expensive, so they have to charge a lot. But, They didn't use any of the equipment. They looked at my car - took less than 5 minutes to identify what they thought to be the problem, and then RIPPED ME OFF. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me since I was a woman.
