I moved back to the Tampa Bay area a year ago and chose Ron Mason as my State Farm agent. While driving home on the interstate one Friday afternoon, debris from a truck flew off and slammed into my vehicle dead on. I quickly moved my damaged vehicle off the interstate and called for police. After filing an accident report, I left a message on the answering machine for Ron Mason (my State Farm insurance agent) to call me back for guidance on how to file a claim. No one called!! Upon getting home, I looked up the 800 number for claims with State Farm. and filed the claim. Two business day's later, still NO word from the agent or anyone from his office. I then called and spoke with BJ from his office. The rental car company informed me they needed a ""direct bill"" from State Farm. So, I told her of the situation and asked for her help in the matter. She became very annoyed and told me it was my responsibiltiy to play phone tag with the rental car agency. Why, I asked?? Why should it be my responsibility to call here and there. Isn't this why I pay them the money I do??!!! Overall I have since changed agents. No one ever asked why I changed or even what they could do better to keep their customers. Ron Mason and his staff obviously do NOT value their customers!!!! Stay away!! They have horrible customer service!!!!! Pros: State Farm agency Cons: Horrible customer service!!!
