In 2 weeks the most incredible year of my life thus far will be coming to an end ! \r

I am an au pair for 4 boys in the beautiful Minnesota ! They are 6 4 3 and 1 of age ! As you can imagine they are all just little energy bundles ! \r

I had so much fun teaching them and playing with them! I have a strong relationship with each of them. This did not come without hard work and persistence! Each of them have their own likes and dislikes! It was challenging setting the boundaries of when I am a friend and playful and when I am the disciplining care taker.\r

This year was such a success thanks to my host parents who always back me up and support me with my decisions that I make while I am taking care of the kids ! For example if one of the boys were naughty and I said he loses dessert as a consequence for the action they will not give him dessert later on when I am off duty ! \r

My host family is beyond amazing they truly invited and welcomed me into their family limitlessly ! I was not just an employee living in the house, I always felt welcome and included. We have formed life long relationships ! \r

One thing that helped keep everything going smoothly was our weekly meetings even if they just lasted 2 minutes some times. It kept an open atmosphere to speak when something came up. A written schedule kept questions about working too much at bay ! \r

The LAR added a whole lot of fun to this year by arranging some awesome events for our monthly meetings ! She is a very warm and compassionate person yet professional ! She helps where she can and gives great advise! \r

I had a very fun and culturally educational year thanks to Go au pair and the great system they have in place for making it possible !
