this place is a joke- a total insult to people that like good food. I took the bakery challenge and went to all of Wichitas bakeries. Upon hearing only bad things i wanted to give them a fair try. I dont know how to bake, but i do know box mix and frosting from a can when i taste it- hello, its all ive ever had!!! when i paid more for a cupcake then a real, homemade cupcake from one of their competitors, i was OFFENDED!!! Dont try to fool me and sell me box mix for more then the price of a homemade cupcake. if i wanted a cupcake like this i would go to walmart- and pay 10% of what they charge. Decor was a tad on the tacky side. The lady helping me was sweet, but she told me that her boss is scary mean and that she was once charged for not getting a payment in advance from a customer who called and placed an order- on her first day. I told her i wanted to complain to the owner and she told me that i shouldnt bc the owner would take it out on her. I felt bad for her. Bakeries are suposed to be happy but i sensed some negative energy. When it comes down to it, the cake mix cupcake was stale, over priced and just not good. I cant believe that people would actually use their cupcakes for a wedding- they must not know how good a cupcake can be. I prefer to give my money to a place that doesnt insult me by over charging for a cupcake that i can make myself- but honestly i think i couldve done a better job bc it WAS stale. at least make your own icing- if you have a bakery shouldnt you bake from scratch?
