Businiess name:  TenEyck Septic Tank Service
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I contacted Ten Eyck septic in the summer of 2012 for the first time to inspect the septic system of the home my wife and I wanted to purchase. He told us the system needed replacing and we negotiated with the sellers to have it done the following spring after we closed and gave him a $4,000 deposit. Jim Ten Eyck ignored my calls until May, then showed up to tell me he would start in 2 or 3 weeks. In September he still hadn't started. We started to panic when we were informed that Jim never measured to our neighbor's well and we could not proceed without paying more money to install city water in our neighbor's house. I had 2 other contractors look to give me a second opinion because Jim again went dark. They said we did not need a new system, just some repairs (totaling less than $1,000 including the pump out and work). Jim has not refunded my deposit of $4,000 and has an attorney sending me threatening letters and calling me a liar.
