Been waiting to come here due to all the buzz surrounding this place. I went there this past Wednesday with some coworkers for happy hour. By the time I got there about 6:30 the place was packed, with many people standing in the middle between the row of tables. Luckily my coworkers had gotten a table, but with a buncha guys, I was literally rubbing elbows with the anorexic Olsen twin wannabe at the next table. Interesting thing is that you go to the bar to order your drinks and food. They'll pour your drinks right there at the bar and will give you a number for the food so runners know which table to deliver the food. Interesting, but can get annoying if it's crowded and a whole mess of people are just hanging out and not ordering. Because it was crowded, it took on average of about 15-25 mins to get food. Had the burger that they're known for and the garlic fries. Both were quite excellent and would agree with the other reviewers that said they serve some of the best bar food in LA. Probably the only problem would be the fact that it gets really, really crowded, even on a week night, and people waiting for tables tend to get a little chippy. Beer plus having to wait a long time for a place to sit can lead to tempers flaring. Not sure what all the hype about the beer is, it's a bar that just serves a lot of different beers. What a concept...good beer nonetheless. Hitochino white Ale was pretty sweet and refreshing. Especially after 4 or 5. Pros: Wide and eclectic beer selection from around the world, great bar food! Cons: Very crowded with older women trying to pick up on younger guys. Holla
