Had to take my car in for recall work. Car was running great no problems! But wife drives and card stated the car could catch fire. Picked car up, recall work complete but check engine light was on. Called service to inform them that they created a problem and that I expected it repaired. The service manager rudely informed me that it was IMPOSSIBLE that they did anything to cause the problem and they, just because they worked on the car, could not now be held responsible for every thing that happens. I agree but when I take my car with no issues in for recall work and pick it up and the check engine light is on it is very reasonable to assume they caused the issue. When I made that statement the manger became very defensive and restated that they could NOT have created the issue than stated that anything could cause the problem from a gas cap to something major. ( or a mechanic who has no idea what he is doing under the hood if my car). Take my advice - go some place else!
