The Oaks of ""HATERWORST""\r When I first moved to this apartment complex, it was owned by Bisanz Brothers Development.\r Everything was well kept, it was a safe and clean, management was attentive, respectful and maintenance calls were promptly addressed.\r Then the nightmare began, Oaks Realty Services bought the complex..\r Hallways stink, cars are broken into and vandalized even in the underground parking which rates are insane.\r Tenants and even West Saint Paul Police Department has suggested surveillance equipment, nothing has been done.\r There is not on site management, and whenever they interact with tenants they are disrespectful and arrogant. Repairs could take weeks to be resolved and as KnitKnit said, maintenance people not only smoke inside the units they are working on, they smoke in the underground garage. I had an episode when I used to park there (before rates went form $30 per month to $65 per month) and called who used to be the ""caretaker"" so he could find the owner of a car that had a gasoline leak and he came to the underground parking to see which car with a lit cigarette!!\r Not only plowing rarely happens, shoveling is non existent, access to doors whether steps or ramps are never shoveled if we are lucky enough there would be snow melting salt scattered on them.\r Rent can not be paid at the facility you would have to mail it and if is not postmarked by the 3rd of every month and God forbids your rent is due on a holiday weekend, you would be receiving a note to advise that you have to paid at least $85 late fee or eviction process would be started against you. If you decide to pay online there is a surcharge per payment. (yes on top of your rent due)\r There is no way you can prove that your rent got to the mail on time since they are the ones that keep the envelops therefore you are a least f.. with paying the late fee.\r The police spends more time at these buildings than any others around here, fights in the parking lot, loud music on weekdays way after midnight, and main doors left open for strangers to come into the buildings, extremely noisy neighbors that are never called to order because they are section 8 clients and government pays, yet maintenance is far from comply with federal standards.\r Countless sleepless nights and tons of police reports! you can check them out at the WSSPD they are public records.\r \r There are many more apartments around that offer at least courteous service and decent maintenance.\r
