I am sick and tired of them pushing the labs!!!! This is big business for them via Antech. Almost every visit they ask me if I want a wellness chem/heme/etc. profile on a "healthy" animal (comment made by the vet after the physical exam). I know via inside info that the quality of the testing in these satellite labs via Antech is crap. Est. 90% of these test results are normal. They know that there are a lot of naive, animal loving owners that will go ahead with these unnecessary tests and get nailed with huge costs. Be forewarned, if the vet ask you if you want a wellness profile on your healthy animal, think twice before saying yes! Luckily, being in the healthcare field I can see what VCA is doing!
