I had been going to Mills body shop for 25 years - when it was managed/owned by Garland Mills. He was honest, turned out great body work at a fair price. He also did minor engine repair. I was a loyal customer and true believer. \r \r Then his brother Garold took over the place. When Garland left he must have taken his crew with him. \r \r I left my car for minor work to be done like re-hook up some vacuum hoses, check an engine oil leak, tint the the rear windshield, change a front shock, change gaskets in carburetor.\r \r The car returned to me barely running, wouldn't idle nor accelerate without bogging and dying. The left front creaked and still creaks where they changed the shock, the back windshield leaks after pulling it to tint (and a crappy tint job it is). \r \r In checking the oil leak they claimed my water pump was bad (it wasn't) changed that, put in some sort of after market chrome cover which leaks oil worse than before. The left front creaked and still creaks where they changed the shock, the back windshield leaks when it rains after pulling it to tint (and a crappy tint job it is). In pulling the rear windshield they also ripped the cloth near the deck.\r In checking the oil leak they claimed my water pump was bad (it wasn't) changed that, put in some sort of after market chrome cover which leaks oil worse than before. Another mechanic said they failed to put in a gasket and just used gasket maker.\r In changing the vacuum hoses they removed OEM equipment and replaced it with substandard or incorrect equipment such as the PVC valve, gas canister, water neck, TVS in the water neck. \r I returned the car and left it with them for a week to do adjustments. Turns out they did NOTHING but let it sit on their lot. I complained to the BBB. When Garold got the report he sent me a snide email and basically just laughed at my situation. And BTW he overcharged by like 400%, He knew I needed to get the car and head back to St Louis to return to work - yes I drove all the way there for this shit - before I knew Garland had sold the business to Garold.\r Stay far far away - and tell everyone else to do the same.
