Review content:
This is a great old bookstore. It reminds of the kind that used to be around when I was younger and before everything became homogenized, and I appreciate it for that. I suspect that people who are looking for cheap bargains or a corporate decor won't be very pleased by what they find, but for people who appreciate independent businesses this is a great place to try. The prices definitely aren't on the low end for most things, but it appears they're also trying to focus on rarer and collectible materials, so you wouldn't expect them to be. It's filled with all manner of memorabilia, ephemera and local items, so it's nice just to see what's on the walls as well as the shelves. The people behind the counter seem friendly enough if you're willing to start a conversation, but otherwise they tend to leave you alone. It's certainly not for everyone, but people who love books and stores with character should appreciate it for what it is. Pros: Ambiance, selection, that old book store smell Cons: Not the place for bargains
